Privacy Policy

HorseKBB (“we”) provides equine market intelligence. Last updated: August 12, 2026.

This policy applies to the HorseKBB mobile apps on Google Play and the App Store, and to related websites at horsekbb-prod.web.app.

Information we collect

Account: email, display name, and authentication identifiers when you sign in (including anonymous session IDs until you create an account). Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple may provide your name and email from that provider.
Valuation content: listing text, photos you submit, and attributes you confirm for fair-market estimates.
Photos / camera: only if you choose to attach a listing or horse photo. We do not access your camera or photo library in the background.
Contributions: optional verified-sale details and supporting documents you choose to upload.
Subscription / purchase history: App Store or Google Play purchase tokens and entitlement status processed via RevenueCat to unlock HorseKBB Pro.
Diagnostics: crash logs and performance metrics (Firebase Crashlytics / Analytics when enabled for the build).
Device / usage: basic app interaction needed to operate features (for example, which estimate you reopen from history).
Push notification token: a Firebase Cloud Messaging device token stored on your account so we can deliver optional alerts (for example, when a contributed sale is reviewed). You can turn push off in Settings.

How we use information

Provide fair-market ranges, comparable sales, and valuation history.
Authenticate you and keep anonymous estimates when you later link an account.
Process Pro subscriptions and restore purchases.
Send optional account alerts via push notifications when enabled.
Improve reliability (crash and performance diagnostics).
Enforce licenses on partner or contributed market data.

Third parties

We share data with processors only as needed to run the app:

Firebase / Google — Auth, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging (push), Crashlytics, Analytics.
Apple / Google Play — in-app subscription billing.
RevenueCat — subscription entitlement status.

Stripe Connect marketplace payments are not used in the current release. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention

Account and valuation data are kept while your account is active. You may delete your account in Settings; we then remove associated valuation history and personal account data from our systems, subject to legal retention needs and backup cycles. Crash diagnostics are retained according to Firebase defaults.

Your choices

Continue as a guest (anonymous session) without email.
Sign in with email, Google, or Apple.
Manage or cancel Pro in your App Store / Play account settings; restore purchases in-app under Settings.
Delete your account from Settings.

Children

HorseKBB is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Google Play Data safety

The data types above match our Google Play Data safety declaration. We do not sell personal information. Processors (Firebase, Google Play, RevenueCat) receive only what is needed to provide the service.
